In the short time that Thai has been training me I have gained strength, endurance, and seen results that I have never seen before from my normal exercise routines. He is extremely motivating and passionate about his work. In my experience training with him I’ve already made strides that I never thought were possible. Within a couple weeks my clothes were much looser, I’m getting compliments left and right and I’m feeling so much better about myself. When all the hard work started paying off, it made me that much more excited to continue working with Thai. He is the person to go to if, and only if you are ready to work and very serious about exercise and getting your body in shape. I can speak from personal experience that Thai is very positive, but at the same time he does not sugarcoat or BS about what you need to do to get the results you want. I have to say that I am very happy with what he has helped me to accomplish so far and because of that I am looking forward to the changes that will come in the future. 

Outside of his kick ass training sessions, his culinary experience was what put me over the edge. When I tasted his food that was just a really big bonus. It’s sooo good… the chicken, turkey chili, and rice pilaf made me forget I was eating something so healthy.

I was looking for a trainer in the Pasadena area and had done some research for some time. Not only did I want a trainer who can help me with getting into great shape, I wanted someone who is skilled and knowledgeable of diet, food prep, exercises etc. Upon meeting Thai, he had all the qualities I was looking for. Not only is he a professional chef who can help with making meal plans taste good, he knew the ins and outs of the body and how to properly work the muscles needed to obtain the look I wanted. His prices are reasonable and his sessions are 1.5 hrs. Unlike many others. for that 1.5 hrs. he is pushing you to your limits and helping you meet your goals. He is definitely a no non-sense trainer with a great friendly attitude. I would definitely recommend him to others if you are serious about making a life change.

I’ve been training with Thai for years now. I came from a place where bodybuilding and weight training was mostly popular for men. I will never forget the reaction my family gave me when I told them that I love and enjoy training! In the gym where I exercised there were only men. I couldn’t find any kind of support from family or friends. My mom thought I was going to destroy my body with weight training. I wanted to prove her and everyone else wrong. I wanted to prove that weight training is equally fine for women just as it is for men. I knew from the beginning what I wanted to accomplish with bodybuilding. I knew exactly the kind of body I wanted and how much work I would have to put in; I knew that with a toned body I would look fit, sexy, strong yet feminine. In my mind I knew that lifting weights would not make me hard, or masculine if done correctly. Being feminine is what we think and how we feel, but being sexy and attractive comes from the inside! A beautiful and nicely shaped body can only help us express how we sexy we feel. I knew that if I shaped my body the way I imagined I would be able to express myself more as a woman. Honestly, nothing could stop me once I felt what training did for my mind, body and soul and spirit Thai is so damn motivating! I am more than happy to write about my experience with weight training and bodybuilding especially with a coach like Thai. I want everyone, especially ladies, to know that there is no better or healthier way to shape your body than through this weight training. I’ve been training with Thai for 9 years now and he is the “TRUTH”, during this period I have mothered two beautiful children, we trained through both pregnancies and my body looks as if I didn’t have any kids at all. Do I look or feel like a man? Absolutely not… All I do in my workouts is moderate to heavy weight training. I hardly do any cardio because I’ve learned how to eat properly.  I love the feeling in my body while I exercise with weights as I tone and sculpt my body. At Body Couture I’m making my body healthy and strong, and I can still can focus on staying feminine for my husband and gentle for my children. I’ll forever be #teambc

My name is Freddy and I have been working with Thai for over a month. Within this period of time there have been changes I have seen in myself. This is all attributed to some of the intense and rigorous workouts, that he has me do. A month ago, I was not able to hold my own weight as resistance, nor last more than 15 minutes in cardiovascular exercise. Today, I can do all that and more, I am doing things that I thought I would have never done or be capable of. I met Thai at a training seminar he put on for a non-profit my wife works for. The dude has an infectious personality that spurs you to go kick some ass and gets yourself in shape. Just listening to him talk fired me up to go hit the gym. Upon meeting him once I signed up for assistance with getting in shape for a 22 Mile, Stand Up Paddle Board Race I planned to do from Catalina Island to Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro. I was also getting married in 2 months and wanted to trim down for the big day. Thai built me a personal training regiment to prepare for my race and get yoked for my wedding. The personalized program came with diet instructions, supplements to buy, and a workout routine. Thai provided me with great results. I lost 15-20 lbs. within 2 months and successfully completed my 22 mile Stand-Up-Race in my goal timing. Since then I have continued to meet with him weekly and am still seeing great results. I went from barely benching 135 lbs. to pushing 225 lbs. I’ve cut fat and put on real muscle and am now the guy on the beach no one wants to mess with. Thai will give you confidence in your body and strength. He is your biggest fan and pushes you harder than you will EVER push yourself. On top of that, he is a good dude. As hard as his workouts are, he always keeps the challenges interesting and I always look forward to seeing him. I original was driving 1 hour to see him in Pasadena but now he has opened gyms in Manhattan Beach and Hollywood. If you are serious about getting in shape I could not recommend a better trainer.

Three words: Thai is amazing.
I started working out with Thai in November 2014 because I not only felt a lack of motivation towards working out, but also because I felt I hit a plateau. Prior to working out with him, I was relatively familiar with exercising since I had been an avid runner growing up and also had a background (albeit, limited) concerning weight training. However, I felt that my progression was not as efficient as it could have been given the amount of time I was spending at the gym.

I remember looking on Yelp and flipping through the 13-something pages of trainers in Pasadena and I came across his page and site. After talking to him on the phone, I knew I had found what I was looking for in a trainer. For one, I wanted someone who was clearly knowledgeable and had a background training those who competed, rather than those who were looking to lose weight. I myself was looking to gain strength/ muscle mass and at the same time lean out at bit, having gained a little weight from earlier in the year due to irregular eating and exercising habits. Also, I wanted someone who was on the tougher side–after all, I was going to be contributing time and money towards a trainer and I wanted the best one for me. After going on a few trial training sessions with some other trainers and comparing them to Thai, I knew that I wanted to be trained by him.

Let me say that if you are looking to be pushed physically and mentally, Thai is your guy. Granted, he is not anything like a drill sergeant and is definitely not in your face. He is very understanding, but at the same time, tough and will push you beyond what you think you do. This was exactly what I wanted. I didn’t want to be babied because I was serious about reaching my goals and knew that he would get me where I wanted to be. I will point out that after working out with Thai for only a little over two months, I have made massive gains. I can squat and deadlift 185, bench way more than I was ever capable of, and I can run farther and longer than I have ever before (and this is coming from who transitioned from running 4-6 miles/day to only doing HIIT 2-3 times a week).

I’ll emphasize that if you are going to spend money on a trainer, you need to match in terms of philosophy and personality. For me, Thai is the perfect trainer for me because he is very charismatic, charming, and funny. I train 4-6x per week at 6 am (I am a full-time student and work weekends and this is the time that works for me), and honestly, I always look forward to the workouts because he makes sure I am never bored by changing up workouts. He is also very silly and fun to talk to.

In terms of scheduling and pricing, he is also very accommodating and understanding. Being a graduate student with an erratic schedule and limited funds, we were able to negotiate a good time and fair price for the both of us.

If you are serious about working out, you should consider Thai. I know I have no regrets and I intend to train with him indefinitely (that is, as long as he’ll have me). If you are willing to put in the time and effort with him, I swear you won’t be disappointed.

I am in the best shape of my adult life and weigh less than I did in college! Being an athlete all my life, I have never been a stranger to the gym. I’ve trained with Thai for 3 months now. I was referred to Body Couture from a friend that saw great results. I drive for over an hour to get to Pasadena and it’s been nothing short of amazing. I lost a good amount of weight before I started with Body Couture, but Thai has helped me tone my body in a whole new way. The workouts are intense and not for the faint of heart. I want to commend Thai for being such an outstanding personal trainer and a beautiful human being. I have worked with trainers in the past, but have never had such a positive experience. Thai is not merely a walking example of what he teaches; he is professional, supportive and fun. I am not a young body builder. When I began training with Thai I thought I was in decent shape and somewhat fit. However, I was not happy with the way I felt and looked. Thai explained to me the basics of a good training regimen and diet. He pushed through each workout with encouragement and motivation.
